Tokai Springy Sound 1981 Spaghetti Logo Japan Vintage U-Stamp Pickups
Highly Coveted "Lawsuit Era" Japanese Vintage Guitar
This is a lovely 1981 Springy Sound Stratocaster guitar, complete with quality well-padded Tokai gig bag and fitted with Fender Pure Vintage ’61 pickups. I still have the the original Tokai pickups to make this completely original should I wish to do so. These are highly sought-after from the legendary ‘Spaghetti Logo’ era, sometimes referred to as the ‘lawsuit era’.
Produced in Japan during the late 70s to early 80s, this series is famous for its meticulous construction and accurate vintage specifications, often regarded as superior to the actual Fender Strats of that period. This is a true piece of ‘Japan Vintage’ history and they don’t come up for sale often in the UK, usually needing to be imported from Japan.
The combination of the glossy vintage white (cream) finish and the beautiful rosewood neck gives it a classic, highly desirable aesthetic. Tokai instruments from this period are recognized for their exceptional craftsmanship and accurate reproduction of classic golden-era specs, making them a favourite among both collectors and serious players.
